BayTOU: Requirements

Which requirements must be met?

• The project must not yet have been started.
• The project must be characterized by a significant technical and economic success risk and a high innovation content.
• The project must be carried out and exploited in the Free State of Bavaria.
• In addition to the funding, the use of sufficient own or external funds for the overall financing of the project is required.
• The project may not be funded under other programs of the states, the federal government or the EU

Eligible applicants are:

• Persons who want to establish a technology-oriented company.
• Technology-oriented companies in the commercial sector that 
  • have existed for less than 6 years and
  • employ fewer than 10 employees and
  • meet the SME definition of the European Community.
• One or more of the persons involved in the applicant company must be managing directors and have the necessary expertise to carry out the project.
• These persons must hold at least 50% of the shares and devote most of the working time to the start-up project.
