Bavarian funding program for energy concepts and municipal energy use plans

The Free State of Bavaria supports local authorities and companies that commission studies on energy saving, energy efficiency and the increased use of renewable energies. In particular, the studies should contain vendor-neutral feasibility studies in technical, infrastructural and economic terms as a basis for planned investments. Funding is provided in the form of a grant.

This funding line supports the following objectives:

  • Preparation of energy concepts (by expert third parties) for saving energy, increasing efficiency and using renewable energies/CHP
  • Preparation of energy utilization plans (by expert third parties). The aim is to obtain a basis for decision-making on investments to save energy, increase efficiency and use renewable energies
  • Implementation of measures proposed in a municipal energy use plan funded under this program.
