Additive Manufacturing Working Group of the New Materials Cluster
Additive manufacturing still presents companies with challenges, even if they are already using the technology. These include, for example, implementation in their own processes and the selection of a suitable additive process. In addition, the increasing technological maturity of additive manufacturing - accompanied by better reproducibility and higher process speeds - ensures that it is becoming increasingly attractive for newcomers.
The partner companies of the New Materials Cluster, in particular from the regional k-messwerk , are also convinced of additive manufacturing and initiated the cluster circle Arbeitsgemeinschaft Additive Fertigung (AGAM). The cluster circle offers its members the opportunity to jointly discuss topics in the dynamic field of additive manufacturing from the perspective of users and to learn from each other. At AGAM meetings, participants take up and discuss important aspects of additive manufacturing - entirely demand-oriented and, if necessary, expanded with external expertise.
The cluster circle has dealt with these topics so far: Integration of additive manufacturing into organizational structures, occupational health and safety, standardization. In addition, AGAM is establishing a technology monitoring system for its work. The unifying element of the cluster circle is that the challenges of the users and the application of additive processes in the company are the focus.
