Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fields of mechatronics, automotive and bioeconomy are committed to greater efficiency, flexibility and sustainability on a daily basis. In order to survive in a highly digitalized ecosystem, they must be able to acquire qualified specialists.
High interest rates and an increase in global risks can put the brakes on SMEs' transformation plans. The EU is addressing these challenges with its industrial strategy - Industry 5.0 after Industry 4.0 and the coronavirus consequences. This strategy aims to support SMEs in their transformation: Implementation and use of advanced technologies and AI, reduction of environmental impact, more resilient processes - while considering the company as part of the social ecosystem. In this context, the RECENTRE project creates the vision of strengthening Alpine production and making the sector more adaptable, resilient and future-oriented.
