Impressions of Formnext 2024: Successful days at the joint Bavarian stand

Formnext 2024 once again provided the perfect stage to present the latest developments and trends in the field of additive manufacturing and to make valuable contacts. As the Additive Manufacturing Coordination Office of Bayern Innovativ, we were proud to be part of the Bavarian joint stand - a place characterized by expertise, exchange and innovative impulses.

Inspiring discussions and intensive exchange

The four days of the trade fair were filled with exciting encounters and discussions. Our stand was not only visited by numerous interested parties, but was also a meeting point for existing and potential partners from a wide range of industries. The discussions ranged from detailed technical questions about the implementation of additive processes to material innovations and cooperation inquiries. As every year, it was a pleasure to meet old acquaintances and get to know new personalities.

Equally enriching was the exchange with our co-exhibitors, whose expertise and success stories impressively demonstrated the strength of the Bavarian network. From university process adaptations to printed electronics and newly interpreted post-processing methods, Bavarian expertise was magnificently represented. Together, we presented Bavaria as a leading location for additive manufacturing.

Highlights at the joint stand

A particular highlight of our trade fair appearance was the announcement of the AM Congress 2025, which will provide a central platform for the exchange of ideas on all aspects of additive manufacturing and bring together experts from a wide range of industries and countries. With the AM Congress 2025, we not only want to promote the transfer of knowledge, but also intensify the dialog on current challenges and opportunities. The focus will be on practical topics such as the integration of additive manufacturing processes into existing production processes, sustainability strategies and future-oriented material innovations.

Formnext also provided an ideal platform for discussing topics such as sustainability, process automation and digitalization in additive manufacturing - all key areas that will continue to shape our network in the future.

A look into the future

Our impressions from Formnext underline how important strong networking and the continuous transfer of knowledge are for the further development of additive manufacturing. We look forward to building on the contacts we made at the trade fair and deepening them at upcoming events.
