Call for SMEs, start-ups and technology providers

The European research project FORTIS is launching its first open call round in 2025 with a budget of 2 million euros. The project is looking for SMEs, start-ups and technology providers who are developing innovative solutions for human-robot interaction (HRI) - particularly with regard to multimodal communication and non-physical collaboration.
What is funded?
Funding is available for projects that offer innovative approaches to improving interaction between humans and robots. Among other things, the focus is on the development of.
- Multimodal communication interfaces
- Digital twins for the simulation of HRI scenarios
- AI-based models for analyzing human activities
- Flexible robotics solutions that enable safe and trustworthy collaboration
Who can apply?
The competition is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, technology providers and end users in the field of robotics. Organizations that develop or want to apply solutions for the manufacturing industry are particularly addressed.
Support and benefits
Selected projects receive not only financial support, but also continuous technical support from the FORTIS consortium. This includes access to expert knowledge, pilot applications and the opportunity to test the developed solutions in real industrial environments.
Application information
The call for proposals has been open since April 1, 2025 and will run until June 4, 2025.
