On August 26, 2024, Dr. Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, presented Rauschert in Pressig with a funding decision of 3.83 million euros for the CONSINTEC project.
The aim of the project is to reduce gas consumption and CO2 emissions in ceramic production by up to 60%. Together with the University of Bayreuth, Rauschert is developing a CO2-neutral sintering technology that relies on renewable energies. If successful, the technology will be used at other production sites.
