Successfully implementing circular business models

The Circular Economy Initiative Germany (CEID), acatech and SYSTEMIQ have jointly published the report "Circular Business Models: Overcoming Barriers, Unlocking Potential". The report includes a science-based roadmap for the successful implementation of Circular Economy business models, which was developed by experts from leading academic institutions, German companies and associations in the CEID's "Circular Business Models" working group.
In addition to describing a variety of actor-specific Circular Economy business models, the report also includes a presentation of barriers, digital and regulatory enablers, as well as concrete recommendations for action for decision-makers from politics, business and science. For example, the report presents a dashboard that makes it possible to illustrate the potential of digital technologies for circular strategies in different lifecycle phases of a product.
