08/04/2023

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) promotes research and development (R&D) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for holistic and future-oriented value creation. The aim is to develop innovative solutions that secure jobs and competitiveness. "KMU-innovativ: Zukunft der Wertschöpfung" is part of the specialist program "Zukunft der Wertschöpfung - Forschung zu Produktion, Dienstleistung und Arbeit" (Future of Value Creation - Research on Production, Services and Work) and contributes to the promotion of innovation and growth in Germany.

Funding is provided for high-risk pre-competitive and company-driven research, development and transformation projects that address issues relating to entrepreneurial and competitive value creation within the framework of the "Zukunft der Wertschöpfung" program. SMEs and medium-sized companies are eligible to apply. The Karlsruhe Project Management Agency (PTKA) has been commissioned as the project management organization. The application procedure has two stages. Submission deadlines are every six months, on April 15 and October 15.
