The New Materials Cluster welcomes the Institute for Materials Science (ifm) at Hof University of Applied Sciences as a new partner. The ifm is characterized by expertise in textile technology, system materials, surface technology, mechanical engineering and composite materials. Projects range from space antennas to medical stents. With modern laboratories on more than 6,500 sqm in Hof and Münchberg, ifm is well equipped.

The Institute of Materials Science is a technology leader for branched braids and works nationally and internationally with industries such as aerospace, automotive and environmental technology. Close partnership and networking with customers as well as the organization of events and training courses are central to ifm. The New Materials Cluster looks forward to supporting ifm through its cluster activities.
