Companies must react flexibly to the economic changes of recent years, such as digitalization, bottlenecks in delivery routes, online trade and others. Here, close cooperation between SMEs and start-ups can be a way forward. Practical examples of how this cooperation between SMEs and start-ups can work well is shown in a thematic booklet published by the Mittelstand-Digital network together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy supports SMEs in digitization , but also helps to arrange cooperation partners with 27 centers across Germany in the Mittelstand-Digital network. Events and workshops are offered on the topic of cooperation between SMEs and start-ups , and the experts on site also support SMEs in their search for suitable companies with which a merger would be target-oriented and accompany the cooperation process.
