The BMBF umbrella concept battery research improves European battery value chains. The funding initiative "B@TS" pursues the implementation of the umbrella concept and aims at innovations in battery technologies, competence building, networking and efficient technology transfer.
It supports materials, manufacturing technologies and recycling processes for battery cells in various stages of development. More information on the fields of action of the BMBF umbrella concept battery research is available here.
The procedure is designed in two stages. The project management organization Jülich has been commissioned to handle the funding measure. Eligible to apply are companies in the commercial sector as well as universities (universities / universities of applied sciences), non-university research institutions, associations, associations and federal agencies. In the first stage of the procedure, the first project outlines must be submitted to the project management organization by October 31, 2023 at the latest, initially in electronic form.
