Call for project proposals on the topic of "Training for the future in STEP"

ESF+ program "Working and Living in Europe - Future Opportunities in Europe"

22.01.2025

The ESF+ program "Working and Living in Bavaria - Future Opportunities for Europe" offers an innovative opportunity to impart skills in the field of Strategic Technologies for Europe (STEP) with the funding action S1 ("Training for the Future in STEP"). The aim is to promote a highly qualified workforce and drive forward the development of critical technologies.

The program supports projects that provide skills in the three STEP technology fields - digital technologies, green technologies and biotechnology. It also supports transferable skills where these are essential for the development of STEP-specific skills. The aim is to create high-quality jobs and combat the shortage of skilled workers in Bavaria. The funding covers up to 100% of the eligible costs. Total funding of up to 5 million euros is available. Support is primarily provided for training projects that are inclusive and sustainable and guarantee a high quality of knowledge transfer.

Legal entities, in particular educational institutions, local authorities, companies and research institutions based in Germany are eligible to apply. The projects must be aimed at employees who live or work in Bavaria.

The selection procedure takes place in two stages

1. preliminary application: Project ideas can be entered in the corresponding review grid and uploaded via the ESF Bavaria 2021 platform. These are checked for eligibility and compliance with the selection criteria.

2nd application: Once the preliminary inquiry has been accepted, the applicant is requested to submit complete application documents.

Projects will be funded on a first come, first serve basis as long as the budget is available.

Submission of project proposals for the first stage ends on March 31, 2025. Approved projects can be implemented over a period of up to 24 months.

Detailed funding information and the necessary documents can be found on the ESF+ Bavaria website. If you have any questions, please contact the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs.
