Ten years of innovation in Erlangen: Evosys Laser GmbH celebrates its anniversary

Evosys develops and manufactures high-precision systems for the laser welding of plastics and, with its solutions, makes a decisive contribution to the automation and quality assurance of industrial production processes. The technology portfolio is complemented by a comprehensive service package - from design consulting to the creation of prototypes in the company's own technical center. From vision to global success story

"Evosys" - an artificial word made up of "evolution" and "systems" - was the decisive start in 2015 for a company that has consistently focused on growth and innovation ever since. The foundation stone for this path was laid together with Intego GmbH, a specialist in optical inspection for manufacturing, as a strategic partner and investor. A decisive step towards internationalization followed just two and a half years after the company was founded: the global expansion course began with a joint venture in China, which was later supplemented by the establishment of a branch in the USA. At the same time, the company remains firmly connected to its home region. With over 2,700 square meters of office and warehouse space, the modern company headquarters in Felix-Klein-Straße in Erlangen-Bruck offers optimal conditions for further growth. Securing this location for the long term underlines the clear commitment to the region and the innovative strength of Erlangen as a business location.

Technology meets team spirit

"The most important driving force behind our success is our employees," emphasized Managing Director Frank Brunnecker at the big anniversary celebration in Erlangen. Together with the other Managing Director Holger Aldebert, he paid tribute to the commitment of founder Andreas Kraus as well as the dedication of the entire team that has decisively shaped Evosys over the past ten years. According to Brunnecker, entrepreneurial thinking, international openness and strong regional roots - combined with advanced technology - form the basis of the recipe for success. Holger Aldebert also emphasized this approach: "Evosys is the result of a successful combination of innovative technology and a highly motivated, committed team."

A company with distinction

Numerous awards and nominations show that Evosys' path is also highly recognized from the outside. In 2022, for example, the company was awarded the Bavarian Innovation Prize for its patented AQW laser welding process, which enables more precise control of the beam energy by combining two laser beam sources with different wavelengths, thus ensuring a faster and more reliable welding process. Evosys has also been named one of Germany's TOP 100 innovation champions on several occasions. Nominations for prestigious business awards such as the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" or the Bavarian Founder's Prize also underline the company's high standing in the German innovation landscape.
