HCBYS is pursuing a holistic approach so that, among other things, not only stakeholders in the healthcare system but also the population are to be made fit for the digital transformation with a tailored training offensive. To this end, the digital health literacy of the population and service providers will be considered centrally and improved. The population is to be actively involved in the process through scientific evaluations of digital literacy and measures based on this, such as education and information campaigns.
The model region is also aiming for the (practical) transformation of outpatient and inpatient medical and nursing care facilities. In order to support service providers, the model region is planning skills and training measures to promote digital skills, particularly in areas that have been less intensively digitalized to date, such as geriatric care. A holistic and low-threshold communication strategy is intended to promote the acceptance of TI applications and other innovative digital care solutions. The primary goal of the model region is to establish needs-oriented, efficient care processes with optimal digital support for service providers.
