Redispatch 2.0: BDEW published implementation scenario for the planned value model

The topic of Redispatch 2.0 is picking up speed again. Recently, the BDEW (German Association of Energy and Water Industries) published the  introduction scenario for the planned value model with a start date of April 1, 2023.

Advantages of the planned value model compared to the simple forecast model:

  • meaningful for non-fluctuating plants (eg. CHP, biogas, conventional plants)
  • because of forward-looking forecasts and optimized schedules, additional revenues are generated and balancing energy costs are avoided
