Change of shareholders in Ingolstadt: The municipal utility now belongs to 70 percent of the municipality, each 15 percent of the shares are held as new partners Thüga and N-Ergie.
Without MVV, but with Thüga and N-Ergie: The decision of the Ingolstadt City Council from March this year has now been implemented. As the municipal utilities announce, the participation of the Mannheim energy company MVV in the amount of 48.4 percent has been bought back. The municipality has increased its share in Stadtwerke Ingolstadt Beteiligungen GmbH from 51.6 to 70 percent. The remaining 30 percent is shared equally by Thüga Aktiengesellschaft from Munich and N-Ergie Aktiengesellschaft from Nuremberg. On July 3, the new shareholder agreement was signed and sealed.
"With a 70 percent share in the company, we as the city will have more influence on all decisions in future - this guarantees stability and a secure future for the company and its employees," said Ingolstadt's Lord Mayor Christian Scharpf at the notarization of the new contract. He thanked the MVV Group, which had taken a 49.9 percent stake in Stadtwerke Ingolstadt Beteiligungen GmbH in 2001, for its "always constructive cooperation".
How much money the MVV shares have cost, the municipal investment company does not communicate. MVV paid for the participation at that time according to media reports 116 million euros.
