Three highly specialized partners from the fields of research, architectural planning and communication are now pooling their expertise under the synstep brand. Their common goal is to realize forward-looking transformation projects in the field of sustainable construction and real estate by combining ecological, economic and socially compatible aspects.

"Solutions for sustainable buildings and districts are often very individual and require many different skills, such as knowledge of innovative technologies, practical experience and the ability to involve the people affected in this change process," says Wolf Henke, one of the managing directors of Lang Hugger Rampp Architekten. A synstep task force consisting of experts from all three institutions has now been formed to offer clients the full range of necessary transformation steps as well as customer and project-specific solutions from a single source. The bundling of several disciplines makes synstep unique and sets it apart from other offerings on the market. What is special about the constellation is the innovative strength of this cooperation. The nationally and internationally active applied research institute CAE develops practice-oriented building components and systems together with companies. The Energy System Management and Technology Integration working group also conducts research into issues of economic efficiency and acceptance. Dr. Hans-Peter Ebert, CEO of CAE, explains: "With the synstep approach, we want to bring the latest findings from research into application even faster than before. We have found a well-coordinated team here that has already cooperated in many applied research and development projects". The renowned Munich firm Lang Hugger Rampp Architekten is an experienced partner in the implementation of innovative, sustainable architectural projects and the communications office ediundsepp specializes in complex communication strategies. An ideal combination with the necessary additional boost. "The synstep brand stands for the great synergies that we can leverage together and the targeted will to implement. We want to take the necessary steps together with companies and local authorities and provide them with professional support," explains Florian Hugger, Managing Director of ediundsepp, an agency specializing in communications.

Center for Applied Energy Research e.V.:

With its research and development activities, the Center for Applied Energy Research e.V. (CAE) aims to transfer ideas into practice in cooperation with commercial enterprises and other research partners and thus make the greatest possible contribution to a sustainable, CO2-emission-free and economical energy system. CAE acts as a bridge between basic research and market-oriented development. The institute is a member of the Research Association for Renewable Energies (FVEE) and the ZUSE community. With its working groups "Climate-neutral buildings and districts", "Smart functional materials", "Advanced thermal management", "Sensors for energy and hydrogen technology" and "Energy system management and technology integration", CAE carries out necessary research and development work for industry and provides new impetus for innovation. CAE incorporates these new ideas into its district and energy concepts in order to offer municipalities and industrial companies individual, modern and solution-oriented measures for climate and energy-related problems. In a separate Innovation Hub, the future topics of "hydrogen technology" and "digitalization in energy technology" are supported separately and synergy effects are achieved. In CAE's own "Guided Makerspace", young companies have quick and unbureaucratic access to scientific machines and test stands as well as to experts in CAE's core areas of expertise.
