"Soly Brain" is to optimize the consumption of self-generated electricity. In addition, the solar provider wants to cooperate with the green power provider Ostrom.

Expected from the fourth quarter of 2023, it says on the homepage of the solar provider Soly, the home energy management system (HEM) "Soly Brain" should be available with the purchase or rental of each solar system as well as a power storage unit. This is supposed to make it possible to measure the energy flows in private households and to control them in such a way that the self-generated PV electricity is used as optimally as possible.

The Soly Brain device and the associated Soly app are supposed to be able to connect all relevant devices such as solar modules and charging stations and to track solar production, energy consumption and current electricity market prices in real time. Accordingly, the operation of consumers can then be adjusted.

Research has shown, it says on the Soly homepage, that consumers can save an average of 6.4 percent of their electricity consumption through live insight. In addition, the Dutch company founded in 2013, which has its German headquarters in Düsseldorf, wants to cooperate "immediately" with the green electricity provider Ostrom. The Berlin-based company, which has only been on the market since 2021, offers variable and dynamic electricity tariffs.
