The Federal Network Agency's monitoring reports are also available for the gas sector. On the Smard.de website, information is presented graphically and provided with explanations.
The Federal Network Agency publishes interactive data from its monitoring reports on the transparency platform www.smard.de . Since 20 February, some of these have not only been available online, but can also be found as visualizations on the website. According to the authority, data on the gas market and consumer data from private households are also shown for the first time. The monitoring tasks of the Federal Network Agency are set out in the Energy Industry Act (EnWG).
The agency surveys companies on the energy market every year and has been publishing the results in the form of the monitoring report since 2006. The new "Energy data compact" section shows some of the data collected in a clear graphical format. Brief explanations help to understand the data. The Federal Network Agency is constantly adding more data to the site.
The information platform has been providing extensive data on the electricity market since 2017. The regular evaluations and explanations are intended to help people understand the development of the electricity market. Detailed background information and analyses on the new data can be found in the sections "Energy market explained" and "Energy market news".
For the first time, data from the agency's own collection of monitoring reports is being published on Smard, according to the agency. The data is based on around 6,000 companies, including grid operators, producers and suppliers. For easier access, the articles from this area are linked in the respective evaluations of the "Energy data compact" section.
The overviews from Smard.de are available on the Internet.
