New fast charging parks have been opened in Dorfen near Munich and in Bochum. In Rostock, construction of a large facility has begun.

About half of all cars registered in Germany now have an electric drive. All the more important it is there that the expansion of the charging infrastructure keeps up. In Dorfen near Munich, EnBW has commissioned a fast-charging park with twelve HPC (high-power charger) charging points. With 300 kW, they belong to the highest performance class and, according to calculations by the Baden-Württemberg-based energy company, enable a range extension of 400 kilometers in 20 minutes.

The facility in Dorfen is located in the direct vicinity of the 94 freeway heading towards Munich and the B15 trunk road connecting Rosenheim and Regensburg. It is partially roofed, equipped with a photovoltailk system and is supplied entirely with green electricity. It concerns the fifth load park of EnBW in Bavaria.

But also in the northeast of the republic the enterprise with seat in Karlsruhe is engaged. Here in these days building start for a project was in Kavelstorf with Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. 16 HPC charging points are to go into operation there in the fall. If required, expansion to 24 is possible. The facility is located at the Rostock freeway interchange.

EnBW says it currently operates 700 fast-charging sites in Germany. Until 2025 the enterprise wants to increase the number on 2,500 and invest for it annually approximately 100 million euro.

Also in the center of Germany something did: In Bochum Fastned took the load park west in enterprise. It has ten 300-kW fast charging points. For all those who are not in such a hurry, 20 AC charging points are to be added in March, as well as - in keeping with the adjacent Ruhr cycle path - ten charging options for e-bikes.

The Bochum charging park, which is also supplied with green electricity, is located directly on the 448 freeway, Bochum Stahlhausen exit, and it is also not far from the A 40, A 43 and A 44. In the Bochum city center one is from there likewise fast.

At the roofed location there are sanitary facilities, a Fastned lounge accessible around the clock and a playground. Also a catering business with Italian kitchen is planned. Until that opens, dishes will be available from the food truck. Fastned says it wants to build several hundred fast-charging stations in Germany by 2030.
