The Joint Undertaking for European High Performance Computing (EuroHPC JU) has announced five new sites for the next generation of European supercomputers capable of performing more than one billion calculations per second. Among them is the first European exascale supercomputer, "JUPITER," which will be located in Jülich. The other supercomputers with petascale or pre-exascale capabilities will be located in Greece, Hungary, Ireland and Poland.
