Ampeers Energy has developed a new analysis tool for the real estate market. Among other things, this is intended to enable comprehensive CO2 reporting for the first time.

The Munich-based start-up Ampeers Energy, a producer of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for the energy optimization of real estate, has now launched its own analysis tool, the "AE Carbon Dashboard". According to the company, the new tool is designed to make decarbonization of real estate more transparent: Energy consumption, emissions and CO2 costs can be displayed transparently, making it easier to identify specific areas for action, according to Ampeers Energy. The dashboard is specifically tailored to the needs of housing associations, he said.

"In discussions with the real estate industry, we have noticed that it is often not sufficiently clear how high the energy consumption and emissions of the properties are," says Karsten Schmidt, CEO of Ampeers Energy. This is now possible with the new dashboard. It enables the development and implementation of a climate strategy for real estate companies. The young company's most important target group is the housing industry, followed by commerce and trade, such as large retail chains with stores. The company aims to help its customers achieve not only CO2 savings in housing and neighborhood solutions, but also significant cost savings at the same time.

According to information from the Munich-based start-up, the new "AE Carbon Dashboard" offers complete transparency on energy consumption and CO2 emissions in existing buildings. In addition to the energy consumption of real estate portfolios, it is also possible to filter by individual categories - whether by age, efficiency classes or streets. Overall efficiency, energy sources and CO2 emissions can also be viewed in detail in the Portfolio View.

Central is in addition the representation of the CO2 levies of the landlords. The levies specified in the Law on the Allocation of Carbon Dioxide Costs (CO2KostAufG) are displayed directly in euros. "In addition, the dashboard shows a projected development of these costs and calculates what a postponement of renovation measures can mean," Ampeers Energy further informs.

Ampeers Energy is a spin-off from the Applied Systems Engineering division of the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB-AST). Investors include the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the Jost group of companies, the Austrian Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG), Sistems GmbH and a number of business angels from the energy industry. The range of services covers the entire process from the analysis of optimization potential, implementation support to the operation and billing of tenant electricity.
