The German Energy Agency (dena) publishes an annual report on the building stock in Germany. This year's building report highlights the following topics in a total of five chapters:
Building stock in Germany,
Heat generators,
Economy,
Energy consumption and
Climate and greenhouse gases.
Based on the continuous monitoring of relevant developments in the building sector, the report provides an important data basis for political and economic decision-makers as well as for actors from research institutes, associations and the media. With regard to space heating in residential buildings, for example, the report shows an upward trend in the installation of heat pumps for the first time in 2021. The report also contains data on gas and oil heating systems, which continue to dominate.
