Funding program "Non-publicly accessible charging infrastructure for e-road freight transport in Bavaria (31.07.2024)

Trucks and other transport vehicles ensure stable supply chains and keep the economy running. But at the same time, they are responsible for a whopping six percent of CO2 emissions in the EU.

The solution? Electrically powered trucks! They help to save CO2. However, the changeover poses challenges for hauliers: It is usually not enough to simply gradually replace the combustion engines with electric trucks. Own charging points on the company premises also help immensely with the changeover and should therefore be installed. It's a good thing that there is a funding program in Bavaria that helps companies with this.

Alexander Wehr, Managing Director of logistics company W & P, and Bastian Ritter, technologist and project manager at the Bavarian Electric Mobility Competence Center, explain how this works.
