Funding opportunity for resilient supply chains in quantum technologies

The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space is funding research and development projects that contribute to strengthening resilient supply chains in quantum technologies as part of a new guideline. Commercial enterprises, universities and non-university research institutions are eligible to apply.

Funding will be provided in particular for enabling technologies such as light sources, control and readout electronics, cryogenics and vacuum technology, which are essential for the scaling and industrial use of quantum technologies. The aim is to significantly improve technical specifications on the one hand and to increase reliability, reproducibility, operability, cost-effectiveness and geopolitical availability on the other.

Project outlines can be submitted until September 30, 2025 or September 30, 2026.
