Funding opportunity for quantum-based technology in medicine

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding photonic and quantum-based technologies for medical diagnostics and therapy as part of its research program "Quantum Systems - Developing cutting-edge technology. Shaping the future", the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding photonic and quantum-based technologies for medical diagnostics and therapy.
Funding is provided in two modules:
- Module A: Combination of photonic or quantum-based technology with other novel procedures to improve medical diagnostics ("proof of concept")
- Module B: Development of particularly innovative or fundamentally new quantum-based or photonic methods
Funding is available for collaborative projects involving commercial companies, universities, (university) hospitals and non-university research institutions.
Submission is possible until April 30, 2025 (Module A) or June 30, 2025 (Module B).
