Prof. Jörg Schulze heads the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology IISB in Erlangen and holds the Chair of Electronic Components (LEB) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). In his new role as spokesperson for the BCA, Prof. Jörg Schulze places a special focus on training and recruiting specialists for microelectronics and power electronics. He presented his concept for this, the µe-bauhaus erlangen-nürnberg, at the symposium on January 18. The unique selling point of the "Bauhaus of Microelectronics" is the clean room laboratory in Erlangen, where students, trainees and scientific staff work and research together.
The Bavarian Chips Alliance is delighted to welcome Prof. Jörg Schulze as its spokesperson and looks forward to the new impetus in our joint work.
A big thank you goes to the previous spokesperson of the Bavarian Chips Alliance, Dr. Alfred Hoffmann, former Corporate Vice President of Infineon. Since the Bavarian Chips Alliance was founded in October 2021, he has been instrumental in the successful establishment of a semiconductor ecosystem for Bavaria.
