Magnetic effect in electrons

A consortium of researchers and industry aims to reduce the energy consumption of computers by a hundredfold by harnessing changes in magnetic properties in semiconductors as part of an EU-funded project.

New findings say that the energy and space consumption of electronic devices will drop significantly if spin-wave technologies are used in microchips.
