Launch of the MeDiCircle cross-cluster project

The MeDiCircle cross-cluster project aims to drive forward the circular economy in the healthcare sector through the use of digital technologies. The aim is to increase resource efficiency, reduce CO2 emissions and develop new business models and usage methods.

The project is being carried out by Umwelttechnologie-Cluster Bayern e.V., the Medical Technology Cluster through the sponsors Forum MedTech Pharma e.V. and Medical Valley EMN e. V. as well as the ZD.B Digital Production and Engineering platform at Bayern Innovativ and is intended to help establish circular business models in the industry.

The project is divided into six work packages, ranging from a basic overview of the regulatory framework to the development of practical guidelines and a roadmap for transforming the healthcare industry into a circular economy.
