Future construction research funding

On March 21, 2023, the new funding round of the Building Innovation Program for the Future was launched. Universities, research institutions, companies, individuals and other actors from the construction research can apply for funding at the BBSR up to and including June 1, 2023.

With the research funding, new impulses are set for a sustainable transformation of the entire construction sector. Thus, this year the focus of the time- and cost-optimized construction and the increase in efficiency, climate-neutral and climate-adapted buildings as well as the circular economy and the reuse and conservation of resources are the focus of the funding round. Both individual institutions and research consortia are eligible to apply. Cooperation between research and knowledge dissemination institutions (e.g., universities and colleges) and commercial or industrial partners, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, is to be strengthened.
