Digitization boom - demand for electronic chips on the rise

As a result of increasing digitalization, demand for electronic chips continues to rise. It is precisely from this that (dpa-AFX) -Wacker Chemie would like to benefit even more.

A new production line is now to be built at the Burghausen site by the beginning of 2025 for the purification of polysilicon in semiconductor quality, creating more than 100 jobs. It is expected that more than 300 million euros will be invested in this project, part of which will come from government subsidies.
