Hacker attack on government and police websites in MV averted

The Schwerin Ministry of the Interior announced that a hacker attack on government websites on the Internet could be averted. Increased activity on the part of government portals in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania had been perceived, which should lead to an overload of the servers. Affected were websites of ministries, subordinate authorities, the homepage of the state police and the MV service portal. The security measures of the IT experts had effectively repelled the attack.

Website of S-Bahn Hannover not accessible after cyber attack - train service not affected

After a hacker attack, the website of the S-Bahn Hannover could not be reached at all or very slowly. Train services were not affected. The problem is not quickly under control. The target of the attack was quickly located. This allowed security mechanisms to be put in place, which could additionally lead to brief restrictions on the website. Further information is not yet known.

Employee data stolen after hacker attack at the Kapo Bern

Through an underestimated security vulnerability in the mobileiron app of the Bern cantonal police, names, first names and phone numbers of all 2800 employees could be stolen. The security hole has now been closed. There is a risk that attackers will now use the data for targeted attacks, but there are currently no indications that the data has been published on the Internet. All employees have been informed and criminal proceedings have been initiated.
