Hacker attack cripples ticket sales in local transport in Hanover
The public transport company Üstra has fallen victim to a ransomware attack, which affected ticket sales for several days, as well as support via phone and email. During the attack, data was encrypted, the company has already filed criminal charges against the professional and globally active hackers, there are currently no indications of them. The attackers were able to penetrate the systems through an email attachment.
All areas of the company were affected, but for customers the restrictions were "only" in the support and ticket purchase. In addition, no subscriptions, such as the 49-euro ticket, could be concluded. Buses and trains, however, were still operational.

Cyber attack on Eurocontrol
The website of Eurocontrol was the victim of a cyber attack in April. Eurocontrol is an international central coordination for air traffic in Europe. The attack restricted access to the Network Operations Portal (NOP), requiring airlines to submit their flight plans to Eurocontrol via interfaces elsewhere. Internal communications were also affected at times. Despite the attack, Eurocontrol was able to shield the air traffic control system from the attacked network by taking good security precautions.

Operations at Lürssen paralyzed after hacker attack
The Lürssen Group, which manufactures luxury yachts and naval vessels worldwide, has fallen victim to a ransomware attack that paralyzed large parts of its operations. There were no further details on the facts of the case, but all protective measures were immediately put in place and the authorities were informed. Police confirmed that the still-unknown hackers are under criminal investigation and cybercrime experts are on duty.
