Call for funding for application-oriented quantum informatics

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has published a call for funding with the following objective.

The "Application-oriented quantum computing" funding measure aims to provide evidence of practical user benefits through the use of a quantum computer or at least to develop the foundations for this and estimate the resources required. The aim is to attract new players to the application of quantum computing and for established institutions to continue and expand their activities. Within this framework, users from industry and basic research are to be enabled to assess the potential of quantum computing for use in the respective subject area under consideration.
