A network for innovation in the healthcare industry

To shape high-quality, innovative healthcare - this is precisely the goal that Forum MedTech Pharma e.V. has set itself. The internationally oriented network now comprises nearly 500 members from research, industry and clinical application. Among other things, the association supports its members by providing individual advice, organizing events and participating in funding projects. Thanks to its interdisciplinary pool of experts, the forum covers the entire value chain of the healthcare industry. The association offers various platforms for networking - including expert circles, industry meetings, workshops, symposia, trade fairs and the annual MedtecSUMMIT congress.

The content of the projects, as well as the events now offered digitally, is geared both to the current needs of companies and institutions and to the trends and challenges of the industry . For example, topics covered in 2021 include digitalization , Artificial Intelligence , Robotics, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Development Processes and Care .

We asked the managing directors Oliver Hofmann and Frank Ziermann of iMEDgine GmbH what motivated them to become part of the network. Which points are important to them as a company and how they can benefit from the Forum MedTech Pharma e.V. offer. iMEDgine GmbH is a subsidiary of Robert Hofmann GmbH and develops, produces and distributes medical products.

What vision do you have or what mission has your company dedicated itself to and are there topics that are particularly close to your company's heart?

Oliver Hofmann: Our vision is strategic growth and the associated expansion of the company's spectrum into medical technology. At the same time, the character of our value-oriented family business should be maintained and continued. Our products should support forms of therapy that improve the quality of life. Therefore, we actively seek new technical frontiers and challenges. The core issues here are the evidence of the effectiveness of our products and the dynamic development of new products, always involving all groups involved - physicians, therapists and patients.

What does "networking" mean to you and your company?

Frank Ziermann: Networking is a very important component in day-to-day business. For strategic advancement, such as exchanging and developing new partnerships or sharing best practices, it is imperative. But it is also valuable for establishing and maintaining contacts of potential as well as future customers and partners.

How can we support you in achieving your corporate goals?

Frank Ziermann: An exchange within the network as well as the referral of potential cooperation partners is important to us. In addition, we are pleased to have the forum as a sparring partner in matters innovation management at our side. Last but not least, your platform provides us with the opportunity to showcase the capabilities of iMEDgine GmbH, for example, through presence at the community booth at Medica.
