Learn Japanese manufacturing methodology

The training program "World Class Manufacturing" is organized twice a year by the EU-Japan Center. It provides a comprehensive analysis of Japanese manufacturing methodology and is aimed exclusively at EU managers with WCM knowledge and a technical background. Participants are expected to gain a better understanding of TQC (Total Quality Control), TQM (Total Quality Management), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), JIT (Just In Time), TIE (Total Industrial Engineering) and the current KAIZEN (continuous improvement) manufacturing methodologies.

The course consists of lectures, workshops and visits to some of the world's most advanced Japanese factories to understand real-world manufacturing facilities and interact directly with production managers to learn about the effective implementation of manufacturing methodologies. The period of the training is November  06-10, 2023.

Election criteria for admission

Participants must

- be nationals of non-EU countries participating in COSME,
- work for a company that is more than 50% owned by the EU or a COSME partner country;
- work for a company that is a legal entity of the EU or a COSME partner country;
- supported by their employer;
- must have a good command of English;
- involved in changing production methods/strategies and/or production control, or have experience in operations management
- have knowledge and practical experience in outstanding production methods.

There is no charge to attend the post-approval training. The Fall 2023 training will again be held on-site . The application deadline for the training is June 07, 2023.
