A new website will replace the previous print edition and provide comprehensive know-how easily accessible.
The practical guide "Climate Protection in Kommuen", which provides information on the implementation of climate protection measures, will be available digitally in the future. This was announced by the Service and Competence Center: Municipal Climate Protection (SK:KK) at the German Institute of Urban Affairs (Difu).
For the online version, the practical guide, which is designed primarily for climate protection staff in municipalities and organizations, but also for other actors in climate protection, has been comprehensively updated and given a user-friendly design. The aim is to inspire users to take action themselves by providing fact sheets for concrete climate protection measures - including an evaluation of their effectiveness - and to use infographics to visualize the know-how conveyed.
The guide is divided into the topics of climate protection personnel, climate protection concept and fields of action in municipal climate protection. In the form of articles central questions are to be answered here approximately around the three topic fields and made available resuming left and info. material. Currently, 23 articles on 15 topics are available. In addition to the website, the guide is also available for download as a barrier-free PDF.
The practical guide was developed by SK:SK in cooperation with the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (Ifeu) and the Climate Alliance on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWK). The guide was first published in 1997, and today it is already available in its fourth new edition.
