European Bauhaus Project

02/08/2022

The New European Bauhaus is an environmental, economic and cultural project that aims to combine design, sustainability, accessibility and investment to contribute to the implementation of the European Green Deal.
The application phase for the New European Bauhaus 2022 awards has now started. As in the first edition in 2021, the prizes will support ideas from young talents under the age of 30, as well as existing projects for sustainability, inclusivity and aesthetics that implement the European Green Deal in everyday life and contribute to attractive, sustainable and inclusive places.

A total of 18 prizes will be awarded for projects and ideas in four categories:

  • Returning to nature
  • Reclaiming a sense of belonging
  • Prioritizing places and people most in need of support
  • Promoting a long-term, life-cycle and integrated way of thinking in the industrial environment.

In each of the categories, there are two parallel competition areas:
- the "New European Bauhaus Awards" area - for existing examples completed in the last two years, and
- the "New European Bauhaus Rising Stars" area - for concepts or ideas from young creative professionals under the age of 30.

Interested individuals from all Member States and from around the world are invited to apply, provided their projects and ideas are based in the European Union. The application deadline is February 28, 2022 .
