The first joint call for funding for bilateral R&D cooperation projects with the UK has been published. Applications can be submitted until June 7, 2023, for German applicants via the ZIM program via AiF Projekt GmbH and for applicants from the UK via Innovate UK.
Funding is available for R&D projects in which new products, technical services or processes with high market potential are developed and subsequently transferred to marketable products. All German SMEs (in accordance with EU regulations) and medium-sized companies with fewer than 500 employees (full-time equivalents) that carry out R&D to develop innovative products, processes or technical services are eligible to apply. Other SMEs with fewer than 1,000 employees are eligible to apply if they cooperate with at least one eligible SME. Research institutions are eligible to apply as cooperation partners of eligible companies.
