The start-up won over the European competition with the development of innovative electric boats with specially developed docking stations. These are primarily intended to be used for inspection purposes in bodies of water - autonomously and solar-powered.
GreenOffshoreTech is being funded as part of the INNOSUP program of the European Horizon 2020 framework programme. In so-called Innovation Support Actions (INNOSUP), the EU promotes cross-regional technology transfer and cross-industry innovation - in this case the cooperation of small and medium-sized enterprises for green offshore production and transportation.
In the project, small and medium-sized enterprises were invited to apply with innovative product ideas via two funding calls. In addition to financial support, the winners of the two funding rounds also receive comprehensive business support services, such as assistance in drawing up business plans, tips on internationalization, individual coaching and opportunities to pitch to investors. There are also opportunities for networking - virtually and on site. These services are specially developed and offered by the partners involved in the project. The consortium includes leading clusters, research institutions and two SMEs from 15 European regions and seven countries - from Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
From September 2021 to August 2024, the GreenOffshoreTech project is working on green technologies for the offshore sector. In addition to Bayern Innovativ with the Mechatronics & Automation cluster, the project partners in Germany are the MAI Carbon cluster, the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany and Balance Technology Consulting GmbH from Bremen.
The Mechatronics & Automation cluster wishes Lemvos GmbH every success in implementing its business plan.
