The Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (StMWi) has established funding guidelines for projects by promoters in the cultural and creative industries (CCIs). These guidelines make it possible to apply for financial support for projects that specifically contribute to the further development, strengthening and networking of the cultural and creative industries in Bavaria. The Bavarian Center for Cultural and Creative Industries (sponsored by Bayern Innovativ GmbH) is responsible for the consultation and preliminary review of applications on behalf of the StMWi.
Funding objectives and financial support
Funding is available for projects that pursue one of the following four funding objectives and are economically oriented:
- the development and strengthening of the Bavarian cultural and creative industries both in urban centers and in rural regions and thus the associated increase in the competitiveness of the Bavarian cultural and creative industries,
- the exchange between all submarkets and sectors of the Bavarian cultural and creative industries and the networking of creative professionals from different submarkets (support for networking),
- the promotion of cross-innovation (cross-industry and cross-disciplinary cooperation between creative professionals, companies, cultural institutions and (art) universities (for example in innovation labs) and the consolidation of cultural and creative industry ecosystems) and
- increasing the visibility of creative achievements.
