[REVIEW] May 13, 2024 | 14th Symposium on the Cultural and Creative Industries in Nuremberg

21.05.2024

The film industry is an important submarket of the cultural and creative industries, and the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is home to many filmmakers. Last week, the "14th Symposium on the Cultural and Creative Industries in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region", together with the "Nuremberg Screenwriting Scholarship", invited all those involved in the film industry to the Marmorsaal in Nuremberg.

The program included exciting presentations and various sessions on different topics such as "FILMKulisse Bayern - Wie werde ich Filmregion", "Storytelling Live", "Kreative Ideen für Geschichten mit KI generieren" and "Fördermöglichkeiten für Filmprojekte".

Together with Christine Haupt, FFF Bavaria funding officer, we organized the first workshop, which dealt with funding opportunities for film projects. Our bayernkreativ colleague and industry expert Charlotte Stegmayer presented the "bayernkreativFÖRDER-CANVAS" to the participants for the visualization of funding projects. She showed which tools can guide stakeholders through the funding jungle.

As part of the evening event, the award-winning film "Rohbau" from the Nuremberg Screenwriting Scholarship pool was shown at Filmhaus Nürnberg. The cultural and creative professionals rounded off the "14th EMN Film Industry Symposium" with joint discussions and networking.

About the symposia on the cultural and creative industries in the European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg
Since 2011, the Forum Economy and Infrastructure of the Metropolitan Region and the Forum Culture of the Metropolitan Region have organized the annual symposium on the cultural and creative industries. Each year so far, the focus has been on a different submarket of the cultural and creative industries. The aim of the symposium is to make the cultural and creative industries scene in the metropolitan region more visible, to network the players with each other and also to provide them with tools as tradespeople.
