Teoleo: Promoting early childhood development with digital technologies Education begins at birth. Already in the first years, fundamental prerequisites for the further educational and life path are created. This is where the Teoleo app of the Initiative for Early Education comes in. With Teoleo, the initiative uses the opportunities of digitalization as a way to reach parents and professionals as easily as possible with concrete impulses for promoting healthy early childhood development. Every 2 weeks, users receive new inspiration on how they can get active with their children and thereby playfully support them in their healthy development. The concept of Teoleo is significantly based on basic assumptions of developmental psychology and aims to holistically promote early childhood development. The lecture shows how digital technologies can be used to provide impulses to support children's development in the real world and how online and offline offerings can be meaningfully linked.

That was TRANSFERleben 2019

How can we live the transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology?

This question was addressed by the launch event TRANSFERleben 2019, which took place on October 23, 2019 in the Poolhouse in Nuremberg. With "TRANSFERleben - Shaping Technology Transfer Together" Bayern Innovativ has created a new platform for all stakeholders in technology transfer to shape technology transfer together. The Bavarian transfer landscape includes a variety of actors, such as technology transfer offices at universities and colleges, technology and start-up centers, clusters, chambers, networks, and many more. They all have one thing in common: to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technology between research and practice. And it was precisely for this purpose that over 130 participants from research, practice and transfer institutions came together at TRANSFERleben. The declared goal was to rethink technology transfer. The event kicked off with exciting keynotes designed to broaden the view of transfer. Not only was there a plea for more creativity and digitization in the cooperation between business and science, but Dr. Christofer Daiberl, CEO of Josephs GmbH, emphasized: "Transfer should be user-centered, interactive and co-creative". Important transfer institutions also presented what performance transfer in Bavaria already accomplishes today. The technology transfer offices at Bavarian universities and colleges, represented by the speaker, Dr. Günther Hribek, presented their central work as a gateway to innovation at universities. The four managing directors of the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency took the participants on an exciting transfer journey to innovation and reported on the opportunities for innovators in Bavaria. The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship focused on the importance of start-ups and entrepreneurship, while the managing director of the Initiative für frühe Bildung gGmbH emphasized the importance of the social impact of transfer.

  • What a transfer culture must look like,
  • how SMEs can be better integrated and
  • what role start-ups, among others, play

were just some of the questions that were hotly debated in an interactive panel discussion.

The future of transfer was the focus of five interactive workshops. Thus, in addition to the transfer room of the future, the important topic of technology scouting was also discussed. Transfer for the next generation was highlighted in a workshop by means of a live interview with three young founders. Other key topics included social innovation and cross-industry innovation.

Overall, # TRANSFERleben made clear how important it is to take different perspectives, ask questions and keep an open mind.

What's next?

#TRANSFERleben 2019 was just a prelude. We are planning an innovative, open and collaborative format on November 12, 2021 - together with you! At TRANSFERleben 2021 we would like to discuss and solve your challenges and topics together in interactive workshops!
