Community of Practice: Care and AAL CoP Meeting: Certification for AAL Providers

On January 19 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., the ZD.B Digital Health/Medicine Topic Platform, together with C&S GmbH and Kaiser-Amm GmbH, will host the first meeting of the "Community of Practice: Care and AAL." Join us for the first event on the topic of "Certification for AAL Providers" and discuss relevant points on AAL certification! The CoP meeting will take place online and is free for you.

Active or Ambient Assisted Living (AAL)

Active or Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) is also often titled as "Smart Home for Seniors", but it is much more than that. For one thing, AAL applications are not just for seniors, but for all people who are affected by limitations in their daily sovereignty due to illnesses or accidents.

AAL systems therefore support people in finding their way in everyday life as independently and autonomously as possible. Among the best-known AAL systems are the classic home emergency call applications. But also, for example, the motorization of shutters known from the smart home can be a great relief for those affected and then belongs in this case to the AAL systems. This also shows that a demarcation between Smart Home and AAL is not always separable feasible.

Certification for AAL providers - Discuss with!

Now providers of AAL solutions are to be certified in the future to be able to offer their products on the market. What this can mean for the providers, the market but also the customers, we want to discuss with you in the meeting of the Community of Practice Care on 19.01.2022, 14:00 - 16:00.

"Community of Practice Care and AAL - Certification AAL providers" - 1st CoP meeting

Review

On January 19, the ZD.B topic platform Digital Health/Medicine, together with C&S GmbH and Kaiser-Amm GmbH, hosted the first meeting of the "Community of Practice: Care and AAL". The increasing number of people requiring care, combined with an already insufficient number of caregivers, will further exacerbate the nursing shortage in the future. AAL (Active or Ambient Assisted Living) solutions can contribute to solving this problem. The necessary care can then be supported in the various settings by digital solutions. Problems here may be upcoming certification obligations for AAL providers. The certifications are partly cost-intensive and may not be target-oriented for the desired quality of care.

2nd meeting of the CoP: Workshop

On 09 February from 15.00 - 17.00 the second meeting of the "Community of Practice: care and AAL" will take place. What will be the next steps of the CoP, we want to discuss with you in the second meeting of the CoP on 09.02.2022, 15:00 - 17:00.
