I have been working in the field of technical ceramics since 1986. After studying chemical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen/Nuremberg, I began my career as a process engineer in the piezoceramics division of what is now CeramTec GmbH. Further stations led me to the company STEKA in Innsbruck and to the company CoorsTek. 

In2020 I founded my StartUp with the original objective of product development using 3D printing. In the meantime, the activity of my company has expanded to the planning of complete ceramic production lines in the field of substrate manufacturing. Through my work as a lecturer at the MCI in Innsbruck, the expansion of the portfolio to sustainable ceramic material mixtures and manufacturing processes was added in 2022. Since 2022 I am a member of an EU-Horizon consortium called eQator (www.eqator.eu) . I work with clients from all over the world.

Thinking technical ceramics in a new and sustainable way

Ceramic 3D printing offers solutions for seemingly unsolvable problems in design. My work stands for disruptive approaches to solutions and impulses for individual innovations. This is how the journey of the startup KIB began in 2020. In the meantime, I also offer solutions for the sustainable production of technical ceramics. Within EU projects, I solve challenges in the chemical industry with sustainably manufactured ceramic composites.
