Impressions (only in German)

More than 200 participants registered from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, among them representatives of companies from chemical industry (Evonik Degussa, Sigma Aldrich, Wacker Chemie), ingredient production (Anoxymer, DSM Nutritional Products, Symrise), analytics and testing (Aurigon, BioTeSys, SGS Institut Fresenius), and application in food, pharma and cosmetics (Biologische Heilmittel Heel, InterMed Discovery, Martin Bauer, Pharmos Natur, Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland), as well as of research institutions and universities from Munich, Erlangen, Bayreuth, Dresden, Freiburg, Hannover, Hohenheim, Potsdam, Stuttgart and Trier.

Functional plant-derived ingredients are increasingly applied for example in food products, herbal medicines and cosmetics. With this in mind, Bayern Innovativ conceptualises and organises for the first time the Cooperation Forum “Functional Plant-derived Ingredients”.
The objective of the Forum is to bring together companies and institutes along the value chain – from raw materials through processing up to the product – as well as stakeholders from different application sectors, to initiate cooperation and thus to facilitate innovation.

Topics will be different herbal raw materials, the identification of functional components and the analysis of mode of action, technologies for extraction and processing as well as innovative products. The numerous potential applications of functional ingredients derived from hop will be addressed.

On the preceding day, participants have the opportunity to visit the Hop Research Center and the "Busch-Farm" in Huell as well as NateCO2 GmbH & Co. KG.

The Cooperation Forum is supported by the Bavarian Food Cluster and the HVG Hopfenverwertungsgenossenschaft e. G.
